Elevating Excellence: RoasTronix and Cup of Excellence Mexico Announce Partnership
Houston, TX May 2026 | RoasTronix is proud to announce a new partnership with the Cup of Excellence (COE) Mexico, supporting the competition’s ongoing commitment to transparency and quality in coffee evaluation. Beginning in 2026, all competition samples will be roasted using the Stronghold Smart Roaster S7X, establishing a more consistent and repeatable approach to sample preparation ahead of judging.
For over 25 years, the Cup of Excellence has set the global standard for integrity and transparency in the specialty coffee industry. As one of the world’s most prestigious competitions, COE connects exceptional coffees with global buyers while providing producers with the visibility and recognition that reflect their craft. Through this, COE has become a key supporter of the long-term sustainability of coffee farms.
The partnership between COE Mexico and RoasTronix aims to spotlight the craftsmanship of coffee producers, ensuring their work is represented and evaluated with the care and precision it deserves. By integrating fully electric roasting technology into the evaluation process, the collaboration strengthens consistency and quality standards while also reducing environmental impact across the competition.

ABOUT COE MEXICO 2026:
Cup of Excellence: Mexico Cup of Excellence 2026 is made up of three distinct categories: the Traditional Washed & Honey Processes; the Traditional Natural Processes; and the Experimental Category. The Cup of Excellence recognizes the top 10 coffees of each category that have been deemed exceptional by our International Jury, each scoring 87 and above and undergoing a minimum of five distinct cupping sessions. Coffees are packaged in 30kg boxes, each containing two 15kg vacuum-packed bags.
